We get it. Deciding to buy a camper trailer is a big commitment. There is lots to consider, and it’s not a decision that you make overnight. If you’re buying for yourself, you don’t have to run your choice by anyone, but given that most of our Mars enthusiasts love traveling with friends and family, its often a decision that couples make together.
It can be hard when one side of the party isn’t sold on the camper trailer lifestyle, and we can bet that this would be because they haven’t experiences how great camping with a camper trailer can be.
You know as well as we do that after one trip in a camper trailer, your partner will understand that they’ve been doing it wrong!
Maybe we’re a little bit bias, but for the thousandth time, there’s simply no better way to see Australia and travel around the country. It can be tough for someone who hasn’t had a camper trailer of their own to see all of the benefits and why it ranks better than any other type of accommodation. Besides maybe an ocean villa in the Maldives but let’s stay on topic.
Unfortunately, for many rational people out there who are on the fence about buying a camper trailer, repeating over and over “but it’s the BEST EVER” isn’t going to fly, and you’re going to need some concrete options and evidence to sway their direction.
Lucky you have us, because we have compiled a list of arguments to put forward to your partner, making sure that you seal the deal and finally convince them that buying a camper trailer is a good idea– if not the best idea you’ve ever had.
Stop right there, hold the fort. This couldn’t be further from the truth with Mars Campers. While it’s an understandable argument, as other brands of camper trailers and older models do take a long time to fiddle around with, our campers are done like a dinner in less than 10 minutes.
We love hearing stories of campers who have left their friends with dropped jaws after seeing that it took the same amount of time to set up their camper as it did for their smug friends to put together their swags.
Not to mention, when you’re done, you’ve got a living space, beds and enough room to host a small party.
Mars camper trailers are easy to set up, so once you get to your destination there is no time wasted yelling back and forth with your partner wondering who put what pole where at your last stop.
You can arrive on site, push up the roof, put up the annex and pull out the beds with minimum fuss and effort.
Bottom line: camper trailers are a much more cost-effective option than buying a caravan or an RV, but they come with all the same luxuries and we’d argue even more benefits. They’re more economical on fuel as they don’t take as much effort to tow, and Mars Campers are proud to be offering prices that families of all kinds can benefit from.
Apart from being an overall affordable product, the lifespan of a camper trailer is much longer than that of a caravan or RV, and you can take it more places because of its off-road capabilities.
This means that you can both tick off more places on the bucket list and save money on accommodation because your camper trailer has got your back! What’s not to love about saving some coin?
After the initial outlay of your camper trailer (which can also be purchased with finance), you’ll find that you’ll spend less when you’re out and about. You’ve got cooking facilities and storage, so you can prepare your own meals, and if you invest in solar panels, you’re able to take advantage of more free campsites we have on offer all around Australia.
Camping in a camper trailer is the perfect point in the middle where roughing it and glamping come together to create the perfect balance. You can tell your partner that they can chill out, purchasing a camper trailer doesn’t mean you’ve sold out.
They still allow for super authentic camping experiences, while helping you to save time, save money, be comfortable and still close to nature.
If you’re worried about pulling a camper trailer behind your car, good news. It’s much easier than pulling a caravan along. Camper trailers are super light and super easy to tow, meaning you won’t need a new car to pull your camper behind you (heloooo extra savings).
Besides being really easy to tow, you can take your camper trailer just about anywhere. The off-road capabilities mean that you can go to more places with a camper trailer than any other kind of transport. Rough terrains, sand, snow … you name it. You’ll find yourself camping in more remote places in no time.
There’s nothing worse than having to change or restrict your travel plans because your caravan simply won’t go there. You’ll never have that issue with a Mars camper.
Australia has some of the most magical off-road destinations to explore and with a camper trailer, anywhere your 4WD will go, you can too. Being able to safely explore Australia is a solid reason to buy a camper trailer.
Yes, it can future camper! Camper trailers we’re almost called convenience campers you know. Okay, no they weren’t, but they’re damn convenient. The level of convenience is where the upgrade from traditional tent camping is most noticeable.
Camper trailers allow you to experience the joys of camping but with greater convenience. The addition of amenities such as built-in kitchens, a variety of storage compartments, and the convenience of having ready-made beds ensure camper trailers are an enticing addition to any holiday.
The convenience surprises lots of people. Imagine those around you with tents after a night camping piling their fridges, clothes and cooking gear back in the car, while you can simply dump your stuff inside the camper, throw a padlock on the zippers and be ready to go.
Not only that, but once you’re at your next destination, it’s just as easy to slide out the kitchen and whip up some lunch. Another win for team camper trailer.
You don’t need to put everything in your car when you have a camper trailer, the awesome reality is that it all fits into the trailer with its great storage options. Over time, you’ll find yourself building up a stash of camping stuff that you keep in the trailer, making it even easier for you to pack.
Having the extra space inside the trailer is really ideal, especially for families who find themselves with more bits and bobs than they can keep track of. You won’t need to pack much, because your bed, fridge, clothes, cooking gear, food and water are all inside the camper trailer.
The compact nature of camper trailers means they won’t take up too much space when not in use. And if you have limited storage space at home, this is likely to be even more important to you.
Why? Because unless you are one of the lucky ones who travels frequently, it’s likely that your camper trailer will be spending more time at home than it will be on the road.
You should now be armed and prepared with bullet proof rebuttals to all the common arguments your partner may have when you’re trying to convince them that a camper trailer is the best idea.
Take this list with you, and good luck camper trailer advocates!
Once you convince your partner, you’re going to need to choose a camper trailer. Be prepared and check out our range to see which ones suit you and your family best. As always, the Mars Campers team are available to answer any questions you may have.
Mars Campers showrooms will be taking a short break over the Christmas period and will return back to usual operating hours from the 3rd of January.
